Directions: From Glen Allen, take US-33 west toward Montpelier. Turn left at Valero and continue on US-33 west 2 miles. Turn right on Beaver Dam Road (Route 715) 7 miles.

Special Comments: Schedule your group event, alpaca farm tour, and fiber workshop for a Girl Scout Troop, 4-H Club, or other organization today. The farm tour consists of a walk to the barn to learn about the living quarters and what’s required to raise alpacas. You’ll learn about the history of the alpacas, how alpaca fleece is processed, and the import of alpacas to the USA. Everyone will have an opportunity to “touch” the alpaca’s fiber. Additional activities can include a fiber workshop where the group is taught how to do a wet felting project. Our facilities include a 24' x 36' pavilion with tables and chairs; it's great for farm tours, seminars, fiber workshops, birthday parties, and group picnics. Description: Stop by the Ashland Farmers’ Market for delicious produce grown within a 30-mile radius of this turn-of-the-century railroad town. Enjoy a variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs, honey and flowers. Meet and talk with the growers. This market is located in the heart of historic downtown Ashland, where the trains still rumble past historic homes, shops and unique eateries.
Directions: I-95 to exit 92. Head west on Route 54 towards Ashland. Cross the railroad tracks. When road comes to a “V,” bear left. Take first right onto Duncan Street.
Hours: 9 a.m. - 12 Noon, Saturdays, May through November.
Activities: General fun, information from growers and Hanover Master Gardeners.

Directions: I-64 east to Highland Springs or I-295 to exit 31A (Cold Harbor). Bear right at Citgo station (Market Road). Bear left at Black Creek Country Store (still Market Road), about 1.25 miles on right.
Hours: 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday-Friday; 8 a.m.-Noon, Saturday. Sundays in middle of summer, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Honor system other times.
Special Comments: We pick every day. Fresh produce at shed all the time when in season. We have more than 200 acres of vegetables.
Products: Pick-your-own and fresh-picked strawberries. Vegetables picked daily include Hanover tomatoes; summer squash, zucchini; cherry, grape and Roma tomatoes; tomatillas, bell peppers, 10 kinds of hot peppers; cantaloupes, watermelon; eggplant, access to sweet corn. Fall pumpkins, turnips, salad greens.

Directions: From Mechanicsville, take 360 east to Studley Road, turn left, go 2 miles, turn right on Hanovertown Road. Farm is 2 miles on right. From Hanover Court House or Ashland, 1 mile south of Courthouse, turn onto River Road; farm is 8 miles on the left.
Hours: Honor System, 7 days a week.
Special Comments: Cantaloupes and watermelons a specialty from mid-July - August.
Products: Select-your-own watermelons, cantaloupes, tomatoes, squash, pumpkins and corn (in season).

Directions: From Richmond, take Route 33 west through Montpelier. Turn right on Beaverdam Road (Route 715). Go approximately 8 miles. Turn right on Tyler Station Road (Route 658). Go 1.1 miles. Turn right into driveway. Go to last house. From Ashland, take Route 54 west, which becomes Route 33 at Montpelier. Follow directions from Beaverdam Road.
Hours: 9 a.m.-7 p.m., daily, during blackberry season. Other hours by appointment.
Special Comments: Call for availability. Thornless blackberries usually available starting first week in July depending on weather conditions.
Products: Pick-your-own blackberries and limited quantity of fall raspberries.

Directions: From I-295 and 301, go north on Route 301 (Chamberlayne Road) for 3 miles. Turn left on Route 643 (New Ashcake Road). Go 1.5 miles to Windy Knoll Farm sign on left. Turn left on Windy Knoll Drive (private road). Go 1 mile to Christmas Cottage. (Within one mile on private road, you will cross railroad tracks - be sure to stop, look and listen before crossing the tracks.)
Hours: 1-5 p.m., Fridays; 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturdays during the month of October.
