Directions:  I-64 east to Highland Springs or I-295 to exit 31A (Cold Harbor).  Bear right at Citgo station (Market Road).  Bear left at Black Creek Country Store (still Market Road), about 1.25 miles on right.
Hours:  8 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday-Friday; 8 a.m.-Noon, Saturday.  Sundays in middle of summer, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.  Honor system other times.
Special Comments:  We pick every day.  Fresh produce at shed all the time when in season.  We have more than 200 acres of vegetables.
Products:  Pick-your-own and fresh-picked strawberries.  Vegetables picked daily include Hanover tomatoes; summer squash, zucchini; cherry, grape and Roma tomatoes; tomatillas, bell peppers, 10 kinds of hot peppers; cantaloupes, watermelon; eggplant, access to sweet corn.  Fall pumpkins, turnips, salad greens.

Directions:  From Mechanicsville, take 360 east to Studley Road, turn left, go 2 miles, turn right on Hanovertown Road.  Farm is 2 miles on right.  From Hanover Court House or Ashland, 1 mile south of Courthouse, turn onto River Road; farm is 8 miles on the left.
Hours:  Honor System, 7 days a week.
Special Comments:  Cantaloupes and watermelons a specialty from mid-July - August.
Products: Select-your-own watermelons, cantaloupes, tomatoes, squash, pumpkins and corn (in season).

WINDY KNOLL FARM

Directions:  From I-295 and 301, go north on Route 301 (Chamberlayne Road) for 3 miles.  Turn left on Route 643 (New Ashcake Road).  Go 1.5 miles to Windy Knoll Farm sign on left.  Turn left on Windy Knoll Drive (private road).  Go 1 mile to Christmas Cottage.  (Within one mile on private road, you will cross railroad tracks - be sure to stop, look and listen before crossing the tracks.) 
Hours:  1-5 p.m., Fridays; 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturdays during the month of October.
Special Comments:  Wagon rides to and from fields.  Wagon rides for daycare groups by appointment.  Wholesale orders. 
Products:  Pick-your-own pumpkins and gourds.
