Virginia’s Farm-to-School Program is a statewide program designed to use fresh Virginia Grown products in school cafeterias. This program supports local farms and offers fresh, more nutritious foods for school meals.

The Local Food Hub's mission is to strengthen and secure the future of a healthy regional food supply by providing small local farmers with concrete services that support and advance their economic vitality and promote stewardship of the land.

Service Area:
Our service area focuses on Central Virginia with the Thomas Jefferson Planning District (Albemarle, Nelson. Green, Fluvanna, and Louisa counties and the City of Charlottesville) being our center. However, we are not exclusive to those counties if there is a grower nearby that would like to be a partner producer of the Local Food Hub.
